A 22 year-old woman in the Netherlands had a condition that thickened her skull. She suffered from severe headaches, vision loss, and motor imbalance. Other vital brain functions were also projected to be impacted. A remarkable surgery was done which replaced her skull with a perfect fit, 3D printed, plastic skull manufactured by Anatomics, an Australian medical device company. Now, she has no more headaches, had her vision restored, and is back at work. Really cool.
